Since Glasgow City Council launched the Clean Glasgow initiative in February 2007, businesses and residents alike have come forward in droves to take responsibility for making their city a cleaner place in which to live, work and play. Here They say that cleanliness is next to Godliness, but in modern commerce that is all too often over looked in the pursuit of greater turnover and higher profit margins. That said, growing awareness of environmental issues and forthcoming legislation that will force businesses to address green issues will help to tackle the larger environmental problems, but what about at a more grass roots level?
